Every Friday during Lent downtown’s Meat & Potatoes may as well be called Fish & Potatoes… at least during lunch hours.
From March 8 through April 19, the restaurant will serve a Friday-only lunch menu, filled with a variety of fish sandwiches, chowders and sides.
The menu (see below), includes plain fish sandwiches (available in hand-breaded, blackened, grilled, or beer-battered), and a number of the restaurant’s own sandwich creations, including the Parmesan (hand-breaded fish with tomato sauce and provolone), the Pittsburgher (with beer-battered fish, cole slaw, French fries and provolone), and the Banh Mi (blackened fish with pickled onionis, carrots, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeno and Sriracha mayo).
Other menu options include clam chowder, house-made hush puppies, Mac & Cheese, and fried pickles.
The Lenten Lunch menu also includes a beer-battered tofu sandwich, and the “I’m Not Catholic” burger, served with smoked pork shoulder.
Meat & Potatoes will be serving the lunch menu every Friday during Lent from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
