Bouquet de Rosé Release at Threadbare Cider
Threadbare Cider is releasing their very first rosé cider, just in time for those Mother’s Day gifts (hint, hint). They’re celebrating the release on Friday night at the cidery, with free samples and $2 off bottles Friday night only.
May the Fourth Be With You at Couch Brewery
Couch Brewery is hosting their second annual ‘May the Fourth Be With You’ Star Wars Film Festival, and turning the brewery in to the Mos Eisley Cantina for the night. Star Wars movies will be on the big screen, there will be ‘intergalactic’ cocktails on the menu, and lots of Star Wars-themed giveaways throughout the night.
Soup’s On III at Modern Cafe
At this soup and beer pairing event, the Modern Cafe will have four different soups paired with four different beers from Bell’s Brewing. Order in flights of three cups of soup and three 5oz. pours of pour, or order full bowls and pints of beer. Soup choices include seafood bisque, spicy Italian, French Onion and Spinach & Artichoke. Party in the Tropics at Phipps Conservatory
Phipps Conservatory is hosting a 21+ party in their Tropical Forest Conservatory starting at 7:00 p.m. This time around, they’re inviting guests to put on their best 80s, 90s and 00s prom attire for the chance to win a membership. Cinco de Mayo at Mad Mex
Mad Mex’s biggest fiesta of the year happens this Saturday, with their Breakfast Mex beginning at 9:00 a.m., featuring three breakfast-themed cocktails for $5 each. They’ll also have additional drink specials all day, and live music at their Cranberry and Robinson locations.
The Pittsburgh Wine Festival at Heinz Field
Now in its 16th year, the Pittsburgh Wine Festival is happening on Saturday, with samples from over 500 different kinds of wine. Tickets are still available to the event, and range from $125 – $250. Find out more online.
Derby De Mayo at Hough’s

Pittsburgh City Paper’s Cinco de Derby
What happens when the Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo fall on the same day? PCP throws a massive “Cinco de Derby” party at Rivers Casino. The event includes an open bar, food, outdoor games, “betting” on the derby, a best hat contest live bluegrass and mariachi music, mint juleps, margaritas, and much more! For the third year in a row, Arsenal Cider in Lawrenceville is hosting a Cinco De Mayo party. The eventcoincides with the release of their Spicy Archibald Hard Cider. There will be live music, authentic Mexican food, and plenty of drinks.
Kentucky Derby at Il Tetto

In Vino Veritas at the Heinz History Center
Smithsonian curator Paula J. Johnson will be leading a fascinating conversation on the history of wine, food and Prohibition in conjunction with the History Center’s Italian American Program and the American Spirits exhibition. Hitchhiker Brewing’s 4th Anniversary Party
Help Hitchhiker celebrate their fourth anniversary at both their Sharpsburg and their Mt. Lebanon locations! Pittsburgh Sandwich Society will be in Mt.
