Booze, breakfast, and a little exercise? Sounds like a memorable morning!
On Saturday, June 22, Healthy Ride, Wigle Whiskey, and Threadbare Cider & Mead are teaming up for a bike crawl through Pittsburgh’s Strip District, Downtown, and Northside!
A guided bike leader will help participants use Healthy Ride’s bike share to easily & safely navigate through the city. The ride has four stop between The Strip and the Northside. For safety, imbibing will happen at the end of the crawl.
The route includes:
STARTING POINT, STOP ONE: Wigle Whiskey Distillery, Smallman Street
Stop in the Distillery to register, fill up on water, and learn about Wigle’s namesake, Philip Wigle. Pick up your Healthy Ride bike in the Wigle Whiskey parking lot and meet your bike crawl guide!
STOP TWO: Wigle Downtown Tasting Room & Bottle Shop, Oliver Avenue
Bike drop in Mellon Square across from the Tasting Room. Visit Wigle’s Downtown Tasting Room in the beautiful Omni William Penn Hotel. Sample a refreshing “Zero Proof” (non-alcoholic) cocktail to recharge.
STOP THREE: Wigle Northside Barrelhouse & Whiskey Garden, Spring Garden Avenue
Bike drop inside Barrelhouse Whiskey Garden. Walk inside the Barrelhouse to learn about aging whiskey and have a small taste straight from the barrel.
STOP FOUR: Threadbare Cider & Mead, Spring Garden Avenue
Bike drop in Threadbare parking lot. End your bike crawl with a glass of Threadbare Cider! The dining room will be open for brunch and additional imbibing.
Tickets are $30 and includes: Healthy Ride bike rental & helmet, guided bike crawl, Wigle “Zero Proof” cocktail and whiskey samples, and a glass of Threadbare cider at the end of the ride.
The Threadbare dining room will be open for brunch at the end of the crawl for pay-as-you-go pizza and other brunch favorites.
