It’s fair season in western Pennsylvania! From Ag barns to fried Oreos, there’s nothing quite like a county fair in Pennsylvania. (Side note: Ever wonder why PA doesn’t have a state fair? WESA answered the question a few years ago). From now until September, you’ll find a fair happening in Western Pennsylvania almost every day.
Derry Township Agricultural Fair
Sunday, July 15 – Saturday, July 21
With a carnival, kid’s tent, hay rides, and monster truck rides every day of the fair, there’s plenty for the entire family to do at the Derry Township Agricultural Fair. They always have lots of food vendors on site, selling everything carnival-style fries to funnel cakes. Check out their daily schedule for when attractions like tractor pulls, a strolling magic show, and cow patty bingo are taking place.

Sewickley Township Community Fair
Monday, July 16 – Saturday, July 21
The 83rd annual Sewickley Township Community Fair will feature family-friendly fun all week long, including children’s events throughout the week, a garden tractor pull, a hay hauling contest, and an ice-cream making event using liquid nitrogen.

The Jacktown Fair
Tuesday, July 17 – Saturday, July 21
The ‘legendary’ Jacktown Fair in Wind Ridge was first organized in 1866. It’s become a staple in the Greene County town, and has everything you need for fun fair nights, including carnival rides, a float parade, live music, food eating contests, fireworks and more.

Bedford County Fair
Sunday, July 22 – Saturday, July 28
You’ll find lots of fair food favorites at the Bedford County Fair, like kettle corn, funnel cakes, and cotton candy, plus they have vendors offering whole pizzas, taco salad, French fries, and more. The fair schedule includes harness racing, barrel racing and a car derby on the Bedford Speedway, the oldest dirt track in the state.

Fayette County FairÂ
Thursday, July 26 – Saturday, August 4
Immortalized in one of the best Clarks songs ever, the Fayette County Fair is open this year from July 26 thorough August 4. There will be a carnival, an American Idol-style singing competition, a chili cookoff, and Walker Hayes performing on Friday, July 27. The Fayette County Fair is also known for their rows and rows of fair-food stands!

Fulton County Fair
Sunday, July 29 – Saturday, August 4
The Fulton County Fair in McConnellsburg will have carnival games, select rides, tractor pulls, a demo derby, drag racing, and a four-wheeler rodeo this year. Head to the fairgrounds for classic fair foods, and check out the exhibition rooms for home-grown fruits and vegetables on display.

Greene County Fair
Sunday, August 5 – Saturday, August 11
Get yourself to Waynesburg for the Green County Fair, featuring animals, carnival rides, 4-H Grange displays, Midway games, a petting zoo, and a demolition derby. Food options this year include hot sausage sandwiches, loaded hot dogs, cotton candy, flavored pretzels, pies, cakes, candied apples, funnel cakes and more.

Washington County Ag FairÂ
Saturday, August 11 – Saturday, August 18
There’s plenty to do at the family-friendly Washington County Ag Fair, from checking out the animal exhibits to loading up on fantastic fair food. The Clarks are performing on Saturday, August 11, plus there will be a school bus demolition derby, motorcross, a senior high school band night, and a monster truck night. Bullskin Township Community FairÂ
Sunday, August 12 – Saturday, August 18
Now in its 90th year, the Bullskin Township Community Fair in Wooddale features a rodeo, a tractor pulling contest, live music, a demolition derby, and a pet parade this year.

Dayton Fair
Saturday, August 12 – Saturday, August 18
There’s a lot going on at the Dayton Fair in Armstrong County, with featured events including a demolition derby, off-road vehicle drag racing, a horse, pony and mini horse pull, an antique tractor pull, and Danny Gokey and the Hobbs Sisters in concert.

Westmoreland Fair
Friday, August 17 – Saturday, August 25
You’ll find fun for the whole family at the Westmoreland Fair, with monster truck races, a horse show, agriculture exhibits, a Cake & Pie Showdown Contest, live music, a demolition derby, super stock trucks, and lots of other activities. There will also be plenty of fair food to choose from, and Y-108 Night on Saturday, August 25 with the Saddle Up Band.

Somerset County Fair
Saturday, August 18 – Saturday, August 25
The Somerset County Fair has bake sale auctions, an antique farm machinery exhibit, a farm tractor pull, live music every night, a chainsaw wood sculptor, and more. Plus, entries are open for their apple pie contest, their Angel food cake contest, and their junior baking contests.

Hookstown FairÂ
Tuesday, August 21 – Saturday, August 25
You’ll find carnival games, carnival rides, animal showmanship, tractor pulls, bingo and agriculture exhibits on display at the Hookstown Fair in Beaver County. This year’s live music includes the Moore Brothers, the Allegheny Drifters and Nathan King.

Indiana County Fair
Saturday, August 25 – Saturday, September 1
Daily events at the Indiana County Fair include a train show, an antique display, and live entertainment. You’ll also find a farm tractor pull, carnival rides, a demolition derby, farm animals and more at the week-long event.

Big Knob Grange Fair
