Big news for taco fans!
The dates have been announced for the 2019 Pittsburgh Taco Festival – so mark your calendars.
On Saturday, June 1, the third annual Pittsburgh Taco Fest will return to Highmark Stadium, with two taco-filled sessions.
More than 30 taco vendors, including Moe’s Shouthwest Grille, will be participating. The full vendor list hasn’t been confirmed, but last year’s participants included Vagabond Taco Truck, Edgar’s Best Tacos, Condado Tacos and Brisket Burgh.
This will the the third year for the taco festival, and the second at Highmark Stadium.
General admission tickets are $10 per person, and are now on sale. Tickets include entry into the festival, along with entertainment, including music by Gavas Beat. This year, event organizers are working with the Latin American Cultural Union to “secure a lineup of cultural entertainment for the fest including live music, dancing and strolling entertainment,” according to a release.
Food and drink will be pay-as-you-go.
“We will bring together 30 or more of the region’s best food trucks and restaurants,” says Pittsburgh Taco Festival founder Craig McCloud. “Each vendor designs their own menu and
keeps 100% of the profits. Supporting local businesses is a big part of our mission.”
The festival is also offering a limited number of $60 VIP tickets each session, which will include early entry 30 minutes before General Admission, free parking, a complimentary buffet and tequila tasting, a private lounge, private bathrooms and an event t-shirt.
