The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Oakland is hosting their 81st annual May Market from Friday, May 12 at 9:30 a.m., until Saturday, May 14 at 5:00 p.m.
The May Market is a gigantic marketplace where horticulturists, local garden clubs, nurseries, farms and plant lovers in all forms come together for a green marketplace.
A highlight of the events are some of the organic herbs and vegetable seedlings, as well as tropical plants and succulents. If you are new to growing, Phipps staff and Master Gardeners will be on hand to share advice… as well as serve hand-dipped fondant strawberries (a traditional offering).
