If you haven’t heard the big news, buckle up, because we’ve got an exciting announcement.
Good Food Pittsburgh is hosting a brunch festival at Hitchhiker Brewing later this month!
It’s going to be an all-out brunch extravaganza. We’re talking breakfast burritos, beer mimosas, doughnuts, biscuits… pretty much everything you need to get your morning off on the right foot.
The event will be held on Saturday, July 28, from 9:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
Come join us – you can get your tickets here!
So, just to make sure you’re as excited as we are (see: unbelievably excited), here are a few things you’ll find at BrunchBurgh….
See you on July 28th!
Here’s what you can expect at BrunchBurgh:
Hanging Out in the Beautiful Hitchhiker Brewing
The Hitchhiker brewery in Sharpsburg is one of our favorite hangouts in Pittsburgh. A hundred years ago, it was home to the iconic Fort Pitt Brewing Company. Today, Hitchhiker’s signature craft brews run through the taps. Airy and rustic, BrunchBurgh is the perfect opportunity to check this space aht!
Munching on Wise County Biscuits
Our favorite biscuit vendor will be serving their signature sandwiches at BrunchBurgh. You’re not going to want to miss this. “Sallie’s Snack,” Wise County’s chow chow and pimento cheese sandwich, is quickly becoming a Pittsburgh classic.
Breakfast Pizza… Yes, Breakfast Pizza
Local mobile pizzeria WoodFired Flatbreads is cooking up a menu of breakfast pizzas. Expect various omelette and lox pies!
Breakfast Cocktails from Maggies Farm Rum
Award-winning local distillery Maggie’s Farm Rum is developing a special breakfast cocktail for guests to enjoy at the festival.
Juices from The Pittsburgh Juice Company
Trust me – there is no better way to kickstart your weekend than with a energy-boosting juice from Pittsburgh Juice Co.
Hitchhiker’s Can Release for “Triple Shakes” Coffee Porter
Hang out for the can release of “Triple Shakes,” Hitchhiker’s Imperial Coffee Porter. Cans (and drafts) of this delicious, caffeinated beer will be available at Hitchhiker on the day of the event. At 11.5% alcohol, this is a beer you have to taste to believe.
Breakfast Burritos from the Pittsburgh Burrito Bus
The cute (and delicious) Pittsburgh Burrito Bus will be serving up breakfast burritos.
Sipping on a Beer Mimosa
Think of it as a beer with extra Vitamin C. A complimentary beer mimosa is included in the ticket price!
Tasting (and Smelling) All of the Coffee
You’ll see (and taste) some of your favorite local coffee roasters at BrunchBurgh.
And Then Tasting More Coffee.
You’ll also learn about other local roasters you didn’t know previously!
Pennsylvania Maple Syrup
Eat local – especially when it comes to maple syrup! Paul Family Farms has been making syrup from Pennsylvania maple trees since 1865. They’ll be showing off their goods at BrunchBurgh.
Pittsburgh Sandwich Society Food Truck
The Pittsburgh Sandwich Society is so good, it has a cult-like following in Pittsburgh. Many people (ourselves included) travel from breweries to festivals just to get their hands on these sandwiches. Needles to say, we are excited that they’ll be at BrunchBurgh.
And Finally, Start Your Weekend on the Right Foot
BrunchBurgh ends at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. That means you’ll still have your entire weekend ahead of you. There is plenty of time for other activities and commitments. Carpe diem! Start your weekend the best way possible. You know, with an extravagant brunch festival.
