One of Pittsburgh’s most anticipated food truck openings is about to start serving.
The Pittsburgh Burrito Bus will be opening for the first time ever on Friday, April 20 at Hitchhiker Brewing in Sharpsburg.
The burrito bus, from the owners of the Pittsburgh Sandwich Society, will feature Southern California-style burritos, as well as chips, guacamole and queso. In the last few months, the Pittsburgh Sandwich Society truck has added different burritos to their menu for testing, like the “After School Special” burrito, filled with seasoned ground beef, shredded cheese, queso and Fritos, the “So Cali” burrito with carne asada, cheese, French fries, spicy avocado and pico de gallo, and the “Los Pollos” burrito, filled with marinated chicken, refried black beans, and a green sauce.
The bus will be serving burritos at the brewery from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. And to celebrate the launch of the food truck, Hitchhiker will be releasing a special brew for the occasion.
