Wigle Whiskey’s Walkabout Apple Release Party
Wigle’s super-popular Walkabout Apple Whiskey is being released on Friday, October 5, and they’re hosting a party to celebrate! They’ll have food from the Gaucho Asado food truck, live music from Her Ladyship, and lots of apple whiskey tastings. Registration is free online.

The 35th annual Hickory Apple Festival has all the fall essentials – and then some. Get ready for a pie eating contest, a petting zoo, cloggers, and live music. Delmont Apple ‘n Arts Festival
Get excited for apple cider! Take a beautiful drive to Delmont, PA, for their annual Apple ‘n Arts Festival. There will be crafters, food vendors, a train, barnyard petting zoo, and pony rides. The highlight of the festival is a 1907 antique apple press making 5,000 of fresh-pressed gallons of apple cider – this machine only runs once a year during the festival. Bedford Fall Foliage Festival
2018 marks the 54th Annual Fall Foliage Festival in downtown Bedford, Pennsylvania. Bedford’s Fall Foliage Festival offers crafts, art, music, and fellowship in the crisp mountains of central Pennsylvania. Guests can shop and explore various artists working with mediums like Woodcraft, Pottery and Glass, Repurpose, Industrial, Antiques, Jewelry, Decor, and Blacksmith. TacoMania Finals at Strange Roots Experimental Ales
It’s been a long summer of TacoManias competitions, but a winner will finally be crowned at this one. Pittsburgh Sandwich Society, Pittsburgh Burrito Bus, Mr. Bulgogi Korean Grill and La Palapa will be serving up their award-winning tacos from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event is free to attend, but if you’d like to be a ‘taco connoisseur,’ you can get tickets for $19 to try them all.
Drunkin Punkin at Hough’s
Try dozens of pumpkin beers at Hough’s during their seventh annual Drunkin Punkin event. They’re hosting three sessions throughout the day (one at 11:30 a.m., one at 3:30 p.m., and one at 7:30 p.m.), and tickets are $50 per person.

Maggie’s Farm 5th Anniversary Party
It’s been five years since Maggie’s Farm Rum launched in Pittsburgh, and they’re celebrating with a big party under the 31st Street Bridge. Tickets are $5 for entry, and includes live entertainment from five bands – plus, there will be five food trucks, five different beers, and five different rum cocktails available for purchase. Taste of Africa
Take a culinary tour of Cameroon, Africa at Cameroon FDP‘s eighth annual Taste of Africa event. The event is being held at Teamsters Local 249 in Lawrenceville, and will feature dinner, live musical performances, a dance party, and a silent auction. Tickets range from $75 to $100, and are available online.
Hops on the Mon Beer Festival (Morgantown, WV)
Head to Morgantown, WV – less than an hour and a half from Pittsburgh – to sample beer from the West Virginia beer community. The festival will feature 50 breweries, all rigorously selected based on product quality and style distinctiveness. Guests are welcome to vote on their favorite brewery, favorite taco in the “Motown Taco Throwdown.”
Zelienople/Harmony Country Fall Festival
There is a lot going on this year for the 34th Annual Zelienople/Harmony Country Fall Festival. There will be live music both days, arts & crafts, farmers market, horse-drawn wagons, petting farms, pumpkin contests, nightmare monster truck rides, a weenie dog race and more! The fifth annual Smoketoberfest is happening at Roundabout Brewery’s pop-up beer garden location on the Ohio River, with smoked foods and live music. Blowfish BBQ, Driftwood Oven, PGH Smokehouse and La Palapa will be serving up smoked dishes, and there will be lots of specialty Roundabout brews on hand, too. Tickets are $28, and available online.
Wine Trail Fall Festival
Stop by eight local wineries during this fall festival to enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, and more! Guests must be 21 to attend. Tickets are $15 and include a custom souvenir wine glass.
The Neighborhood Flea – October
It’s the October 2018 Flea! The Neighborhood Flea is Pittsburgh’s open air urban marketplace that highlights unique collectibles and local food and drink. It’s almost time for fall fun on the North Shore! The Monster Pumpkin festival will feature food, crafts, hay rides, and tons of pumpkins. There will also be Monster Pumpkin Boat Races! The festival will be held on the North Shore Riverwalk, North Shore Great Lawn and Allegheny River, and is open to the public and family-friendly.

Final Farmers Market + Harvest Festival at the Block Northway

A Few Bad Apples Ciderfest
Celebrate sustainable cider making! At this event, guests will enjoy samples of innovative and sustainably made ciders. There will also be live music, a costume contest, food from Gaucho, and beer from Spring Hill Brewing.
Evening of Tales and Hauntings in Beaver, PA
The Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation is hosting local speakers to tell tales of reportedly haunted local sites. Topics include: “Spiritual Approach to Ghost Hunting” and “Legends and Lores.” Donations are appreciated for this event.
Monster Mash Bash in Butler
According their website, admission to this event includes a fiendish feast of phantasmic foods and a bevy of batty beverages (bring something to share if you dare!) BYOB is permitted. Tables can be reserved for groups of 10 or more. Gads of ghoulish prizes for many costume categories.
