Cheese lovers, this one’s for you!
This summer, Pittsburgh will be the host city of the 2018Â American Cheese Society conference.
This three-day festival is one of the premier cheese festivals in the world. Fromagers and cheese mongers from around the globe flock to the ACS conference to learn more about American cheeses.
The event will be held July 25-28, 2018, at The David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
In the past, this event has been held in Denver, Providence, and Des Moines. It’s an honor that Pittsburgh’s blossoming cheese scene has attracted the attention of such a prestigious festival.
The event includes speakers, activities, trivia, cheese tastings, pre-conference tours of Pittsburgh, educational sessions, and a gigantic “Meet the Maker” event, where attendees can meet the fromagers behind their favorite cheeses (and try their goods!)
Registration and early-bird tickets begin May 3, 2018.
The event will need local volunteers, so keep an eye on the website for the volunteering registration to open. Volunteering at ACS 2018Â has many perks and provides the opportunity to meet cheesemakers and try some cheese.
For attendees, the conference session handouts and presentation slides can be accessed from the Forged in Cheese mobile app, which will be available closer to the event.
