It’s a big day if you love really, really good BBQ.
Spork Pit in Garfield has officially reopened for the season.
The BBQ restaurant (across the street from sister restaurant Spork) serves wood-fired BBQ favorites, made in their authentic smoke pit, which traveled all the way from Houston before the restaurant’s opening last summer.
At Spork Pit, you’ll find cut-to-order meats priced by the pound, including beef brisket, turkey, sausage, jerk chicken, pulled pork and ribs. Their house-made sides include potato salad, rice and beans, Mac & Cheese, cole slaw, greens, and banana pudding. Plus, they also offer a selection of sandwiches (like Texas-style beef brisket with pickles and cheese sauce on Texas toast), and homemade bread.
And, the beverage program is pretty stellar, too, with a 14-tap system, offering a rotating selection of batch cocktails, wine, cider and local beer, along with frozen cocktail slushies.
Spork Pit will be open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 11: 30 a.m.
