After a long summer of renovations, a brand-new restaurant is now open on the North Side.
Siempre Algo opened quietly on Thursday, serving up contemporary, seasonal American cuisine and a cocktail menu that changes with the seasons.
The current menu features a variety of small-bite appetizers that offer an elevated take on classic bar snack favorites, from Bavarian-style sourdough pretzels dusted with sea salt and Foie gras and truffle Deviled Eggs, to a Summer Carrot Salad that incorporates smoked peppers, ginger and sumac.
Other menu items include a White Gazpacho with melon, lime and green chili, and Sweetbreads, served with porcini and crimini mushroom and a sweet corn puree using local corn.
Simepre Algo will also feature a limited selection of larger entreé dishes, including seared Halibut with barley, peas, baby Bok choy and green molé, classic Roasted Chicken from Eichner’s Farm, served with a brandied chicken liver bread pudding, and a dish comprised of local summer vegetables, included roasted chickpeas served over grilled tomato pureé, charred eggplant and rapini.
The cocktail menu offers both classic concoctions (Mezcal Sours, Old Fashioned, and Manhattans), along with their own cocktail creations, including a Clementine Smash with clemntine, Buffalo Trace bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup and mint, and a Boyd & Bumble, featuring local Boyd & Blair vodka, St. Germain and absinthe.
Siempre Algo is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
