Big news, pierogi fans!
The Pittsburgh Pierogi Festival has set its date for 2018, so get ready for some serious pierogi fun – and feasting!
The super-popular dumpling festival will be returning to Kennywood this year on Sunday, September 23.
Last year, more than 40 vendors from the Pittsburgh area served up all styles of pierogies, from classic platters served with sauerkraut and kielbasa, to new takes on the famous dish, like Pierogi Mac & Cheese, Pierogi doughnuts, and pierogi-inspired ice cream. There was also plenty of roller coaster riding, pierogi-inspired wares from local vendors (the pierogi pins were a huge hit), family-friendly activities, and lots of local beer.
Organizers say that tickets and more information will be available soon.
UPDATE:Â
A limited number of early bird tickets are now available online through April 16. Early bird tickets are $19.99 for adults and $9.99 for children 12 and under. After April 16, tickets will be $24 for adults and $12 for children.
