Pancheros Mexican Grill, a fast-casual Mexican restaurant known for burritos, quesadillas and tacos made from fresh-pressed tortillas, has announced plans to open up to five locations in the Pittsburgh area.
The details are scarce, but reps for the restaurant franchise say that Iowa-based quick-serve spot is looking to bring a location not only to the city of Pittsburgh (with eyes on Bloomfield, Lawrenceville, Highland Park or Shadyside), but also to a handful of suburban lcoations, including Seven Fields, Monroeville, and Bethel Park.
The franchise development team hopes that the first Pittsburgh location will be open in early 2019.
There are more than 65 Pancheros locations across the country, and two already in eastern Pennsylvania, in Moosic and Spring House. Additional plans are in place for expansion in other markets in the United States, including Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana and South Dakota.
The menu at Pancheros Mexican Grill features build-your-own burritos (with choices like carnitas, grilled steak, chicken and tofu), burrito bowls, salads, tacos, and chips and guacamole.
