The best pies in Pittsburgh:
Coconut Cream Pie from Grant Bar
This famous pie is made fresh daily and features a mountain of whipped cream topped with crunchy coconut flakes. Pie lovers from all over Pittsburgh head to Millvale to grab a slice of this pie, so be sure to stop by early, as it sells out almost every single day!

Key Lime Pie from Jean-Marc Chatellier’s
Another delicious Millvale pie is the Key Lime pie at Jean-Marc French bakery. While all of Jean-Marc’s pies are delicious, their “authentic” key lime is tart, creamy, and spectacular.

Slab Pies from Pie Bird
With Pie Bird’s slab pies, the delicious and gooey flavors of pie are combined with the convenience of sheet cake. Pittsburgh’s boutique pie distributor, Pie Bird, can be found serving their slab pies at popups and events around the city. A few popular slab pie flavors include:
Pie Bird also runs a “Pie Club” where subscribers get a fresh and seasonal pie every month. The Spring 2019 Pie Club begins in April and features Coconut Cream, Strawberry Rhubarb, and German Chocolate pies. Know someone with a birthday coming up? A pie subscription is a great gift!

Vinegar and Chocolate Chess Pies from Pie for Breakfast
It was already hard enough to narrow it down to two, so we could never pick just one pie at Pittsburgh’s namesake pie restaurant, Pie for Breakfast. As the name would suggest, this all-day European diner offers a variety of fresh, homemade pies in addition to their funky breakfast menu. The vinegar pie has already made a name for itself in Pittsburgh, with the restaurant describing it as a “pecan pie without the pecans.” The Chocolate Chess is another favorite pie, mimicking the texture and flavor of a half-baked brownie. Be sure to stop by and check it out for yourself!
Pie for Breakfast (200 N. Craig Street)
Berry Pies from Sand Hill Berries
Located just south of the city, Sand Hill Berries is known for their homemade jams, charming atmosphere, and absolutely colossal pies. Stop by the farm to pick up one of these famous, double-crusted pies, made with locally grown fruit. Popular flavors include: raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and more!
Starting in late spring, customers can enjoy a slice la mode on the farm’s beautiful patio at The Cabin Café.

Oreo Creme Pie at Eat’n Park
No meal at Eat’n Park is complete without a slice of one of the restaurant’s popular pies. In honor of pi day, the restaurant is sharing a pie chart of their most popular pies. Oreo Creme Pie comes in on top – and we concur! It’s delicious!
Guests can grab a pie on the fly by ordering online, through Eat’n Park’s mobile app, or through Eat’n Park’s pickup window.Â
