A new Venezuelan street food restaurant has opened on the South Side!
Cilantro & Ajo (spanish for cilantro and garlic) is located at the intersection of 9th Street and East Carson, adjacent to the Salvation Army shop.
The menu includes traditional arepas with a wide variety fillings, such as reina pepiada and domino. They also offer bowls, grilled meats, and sides, such as tequeños, empanadas, fried yuca, sweet plantain, and beans.
On Sundays, Cilantro & Ajo hosts “Venezuelan Sundays” with live music and special dishes like mondongo and cachapa.
