A new brewery has opened in Homestead with the goal to transcend great beer.
The brewery, located at 337 East 8th Ave, will provide a fresh take on various brewing styles, like ales, saison, farmhouse, and Belgian beers. But the beer is only part of the experience at Enix Brewing Co.
Located in a former Levine Brothers Hardware, owners and brothers David and Victor Rodriguez have transformed the space into a brewpub with full-service restaurant, outdoor beer garden, and an eight lane bowling alley – yes, a bowling alley.
And if you’re excited to check out this space, we have great news. Enix is now officially open six days a week, Wednesday – Monday starting at 4:00 P.M.
Prior to opening Enix, the brothers assisted in pioneering the craft beer movement in Madrid, Spain, opening of two successful craft breweries in the city.
Enix draws from its Spanish roots, offering a menu of Mediterranean dishes, tapas-style appetizers, wood fired pizza, and various tortilla española (Spanish omelette). Guests can expect dishes like croquetas, empanadas, porchetta & mozzarella pizza, and a ham & truffle brie tortilla española.
“We are excited to introduce pittsburgh to our fresh take on beers and brewery food,” says Lavinia Rodriguez, Enix’s marketing manager.
The building itself has also been updated to include a modern facade and interior. While enjoying their Enix beers and pizza, guests can spy the action in brewery through a glass wall. The kitchen is also open-concept, providing a view of the wood-burning oven.
Located above the Enix Brewery is an 8-lane bowling alley. The alley will be open to the public every evening from May to September, and from Friday through Monday from September to May. The space can also be rented for private events. The bowling alley plans to officially open this week, and will have its own bar serving Enix beer.
In addition to the beer, the beverage menu has also been carefully curated to include unique Italian and Spanish wines, as well as a Vermouth menu.
“We are very focused on the overall experience and providing unique offerings,” says Lavinia.
