New Art Party at Remedy in Lawrenceville
Remedy in Lawrenceville is bringing in a new artist and hosting a meet-and-greet with booze and cupcakes to celebrate. Meet the artist, Ryan McCormick, grab some drinks, and enjoy music. There will also be vanilla shortcake cupcakes topped with salted caramel espresso buttercream for sale. More information can be found online.
Unblurred: First Fridays on Penn Ave
On the first Friday of every month, the gallery district of Penn Avenue in Garfield comes alive for “Unblurred.” For this event, different galleries and studios will be open for exploration. Hickory Apple Festival
The 34th annual Hickory Apple Festival has all the fall essentials. Get ready for a pie eating contest, a petting zoo, cloggers, and live music. There will also be demonstrations like wood carving, sand art, and pottery wheel. Apple dumplings or our caramel apples will be on site. The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday. The Hydref- a Fall Festival & Market Faire
The Depreciation Lands Museum is hosting the “ Hydref,” fall festival this weekend. Guests will enjoy 18th century crafts people, re-enactors, and “sutlers”, purveyors of 18th century goods. There will be entertainment, demonstrations, live music, children’s activities, and tons of delicious food. Activities include fresh cider making and wool dyeing & spinning.
Hydref means “autumn”, in Welsh. The festival was named to commemorate the Welsh heritage of some of the area’s early settlers. This event will be held rain or shine and there will be plenty of hot homemade food and activities for everyone!
6th Annual Drunkin Punkin
Tickets are still available for Hough’s “Drunkin Punkin” event, where guests get to taste a wide variety of pumpkin beers. Tickets also include a 32oz crowler koozie and a pumpkin beer crowler fill coupon. Tickets can be purchased online.
Erntedankfest at Old Economy Village
Celebrate the fall harvest with traditional cooking, baking and demonstrations at Old Economy Village. There will also be seasonal music, food and activities for the whole family.
Rivers Brew Craft Beer Fest at Rivers Casino
Head to the Rivers Casino this weekend for a huge beer festival! There will be over 25 craft beers, food trucks, live music, games, and much more!
Hometown-Homegrown Festival
GoodTaste! Pittsburgh is hosting a “Hometown-Homegrown” event to celebrate Pittsburgh’s passion for food. This year over 40 local vendors supplying food sampling, demonstrations, spirit sampling, games, live music and more will be in attendance. Don’t miss Pittsburgh chefs doing live demos. Delmont Apple ‘n Arts Festival 2017
Take a beautiful drive to Delmont, PA, for their annual Apple ‘n Arts Festival. There will be a 240 quality crafters & food vendors, a train, barnyard petting zoo, well springs jumping balloon, and pony rides. Also, a 1907 antique apple press will make 5,000 of fresh-pressed gallons of apple cider – this machine only runs once a year during the festival. Mac ‘n Cheese-Off & Troegs Keg Tapping
The Korner Pub is hosting their first ever Mac ‘n Cheese-Off this Saturday! Stop through, each some mac ‘n cheese, and vote for the winner. 2017 Smoketoberfest IV
49th Street will be closed this Sunday afternoon for Roundabout Brewery’s annual Smoketoberfest. Asado Food Truck (Gaucho), Blowfish BBQ, Smoke, Driftwood Oven, and Leona’s Ice Cream Sandwiches will all be on site. Ticket price include a 16 oz Event glass, a free beer and small bites from each smoked food specialty vendor. Tickets needed for entry
Shot and a Beer Summer Sundays with Rivertowne Brewing
Every Sunday at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse on the North Side, Wigle features a different brewery and serves their beers in $10 boilermakers from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This week they are featuring Rivertowne Brewing. There will also be food trucks on site
