Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão is now open downtown.
The restaurant, located at the corner of Smithfield and Oliver Streets at the former Saks Fifth Avenue site, serves fire-roasted meats that are hand-carved tableside, along with a selection of seafood, chicken, lamb and pork dishes, and a seasonal Market Table salad bar, featuring a variety of fresh salad toppings, soup, fruit, charcuterie and antipasti.
The restaurant is part of a chain of Fogo de Chão locations worldwide, including in Brazil and Mexico. Pittsburgh is the restaurant chain’s 52nd location.
Fogo de Chão also features a full bar with a wine wall, specialty cocktails, and a wide selection of Brazilian rum cachaca.
The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch (Monday through Friday from 11:a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), dinner (Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
