In this episode, we talk all about Kennywood – and what you should be eating there. Plus, we share news on some of the latest restaurant openings in town and chat about one of our favorite Pittsburgh traditions… the wedding cookie table!
And, in case you missed it, there are tons of great events happening in June – check ’em out here!
Part 1
Madeline took her yearly trip to Kennywood, and shared her favorite tips for what to eat while you’re there (spoiler alert: Potato Patch Fries get a big mention, and she’s a big advocate for packing your own picnic!).
Part 2
There are so. many. new. restaurants. in Pittsburgh right now… and we talk about a few of our favorites, including Pie for Breakfast, and Azorean Cafe.
Part 3
It’s officially wedding season, and in western Pennsylvania, that means that it’s cookie table season! A few months ago, the Incline did a stellar story about the history of the cookie table. And if you’re planning on making cookies for a cookie table this year, may we suggest these Salted Butter Chocolate Chunk Shortbread cookies, or these Salted Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats. Bring these, and any wedding will very quickly become your special day!
Part 4
The best things that we ate this week came from Pie for Breakfast (YUM!), and a special surprise from NYC’s Supermoon Bakehouse.

Laura says
Potato Patch fries are a must! I used to love getting the fresh lemonade, too. My other favorite is the ice cream parfait at the pagoda which is kind of in the middle of Kennywood. If you ask, they layer it with soft serve, fudge, and rainbow sprinkles (instead of nuts). It’s SO good and something I look forward to whenever I go!
